The Family & Friends Program is a tradition from previous World Police & Fire Games. The 2023 World Police & Fire Games is proud to continue offering this program.
Not only does the program allows family and friends access to Athletes Village, shuttles, and free municipal transit, but it also provides discounts to our partnering restaurants and tourist attractions.
The Family and Friends program pass is $40 USD/per person.
Children 11 & under receive a free kids’ accreditation pass, included with a purchased program pass.

Fire Fighter Museum of Winnipeg

The fire station that serves as the Winnipeg Firefighters Museum was built in 1904, and was used in continuous service for 86 years, until 1990. For several years after closing, it held the title of the longest serving fire hall in Western Canada. It was identified as Station #3 until the amalgamation of Winnipeg’s 13 city departments in 1974, when it was relabeled as Station #2. Its service was replaced in 1990 by the current Station #2 at 55 Watt Street. Located at 56 Maple Street, it offers a glimpse of what fire fighting was like from the 1874 volunteer-era to the early 2000’s.
The 1½ story section on the main floor at the rear of the building was originally larger than it is now, and was used as a stable that housed 10 horses, a hayloft, oat bin, and a harness room. The current kitchen was built when fire trucks replaced the horses in the 1930s.

James Avenue Pumphouse Food & Drink, is built in a historical building which was Winnipeg's first high-pressure water system.
Floor-to-ceiling windows offer front row seats to this engineering feat, with century-old pumps and gears preserved for posterity. Built in 1906 to help fight the frequent fires of downtown Winnipeg, the James Avenue Pumping Station drew water from the Red River for distribution to the area’s fire hydrants. The building was declared a municipal heritage site in 1982.
We offer high and low table seating. We feature a custom made wooden bar top and 2 large family style tables built by local designer Jordan from Beard Brothers Woodworking. The refurbished brick structure is punctuated by vintage fire hose carts, red hydrants, and copper fire extinguishers. At the center of it all, the preserved machinery is our star attraction.
